Why Greenville's West End?

Greenville has added nearly 1,000 new hotel rooms within the last 12 months.

Greenville, South Carolina ranked ninth in the nation in 2014 for population growth of 60,553 people, according to Census data. This population change compared to other states keeps the Palmetto State ranked 24th. The number of condos available within a 2-mile downtown radius is up 10 fold from 2010 to 2015 with 4 new residential buildings currently in development. Meanwhile, the number of available short-term accommodations climbed slowly over the past few years, with the most recent addition of Embassy Suites and Aloft hotels opening November, 2015.

The West End currently lacks any overnight accommodations other than The Swamp Rabbit Inn, a retrofitted 2-story bed & breakfast . Announced last month, a Homewood Suites will be developed directly across the street from Fluor Field. We intend to become the premier, non-traditional, overnight choice for travelers looking for a unique offering in Downtown Greenville.

Occupancy Rate - 68%

Greenville, SC outperforms the Nation, the Region and the State in hotel occupancy.

From 2005-2015, the national average has not surpassed 65%. South Carolina as a whole only reaches 58% and the entire Southeastern region at 60%.

Greenville averages 4.4 MILLION overnight visitors per year and 1.4 MILLION day trippers.

EVERY 1% INCREASE IN HOTEL OCCUPANCY GENERATES 29 MILLION IN VISITOR SPENDING.
